FAQ'S

Here’s some of our most commonly asked questions, but if you still have any lingering questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us!

DO I NEED TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT?

Yes, appointments are a requirement for our brides. This not only guarantees that a dedicated member of our team is available to assist you but also ensures that a fitting room is reserved exclusively for you.

At Bon Bon Belle, we take immense pride in providing exceptional customer service, and scheduling an appointment is the most effective way to offer you the level of service and attention you deserve. Your appointment is our commitment to making your bridal experience as special and seamless as possible.

WHAT DO DRESSES COST AT BON BON BELLE?

At Bon Bon Belle, our bridal gown collection spans a price range from $1,800 to $4,500. The cost of a wedding dress can fluctuate based on several factors, with prices contingent on dress style, designer, and any personalized enhancements to make it exclusively yours.

Our store boasts an extensive selection, featuring hundreds of dresses from various designers, each offering distinct styles, fabrics, and price points. We’re dedicated to helping you find the perfect gown that aligns with your vision and budget, ensuring your bridal experience is both delightful and memorable.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR TO MY APPOINTMENT AS WELL AS UNDER MY WEDDING DRESS ON MY WEDDING DAY?

When embarking on your wedding gown shopping journey, there’s no strict requirement for specific undergarments. While some brides opt for a strapless bra, it’s by no means a necessity. Many gowns feature low backs and intricate designs, and we’re here to provide assistance by adjusting your straps as needed to help you envision the complete look.

Our dedicated stylists are here to support you throughout the fitting process, ensuring the gown fits perfectly and is worn with ease.

As for your wedding day, the undergarments you’ll need depend on your unique wedding dress style, body type, and personal preferences. We’re more than happy to offer guidance and advice once you’ve selected your gown, helping you navigate the array of options available to ensure you feel your best on your special day.

WILL I NEED ALTERATIONS?

Indeed, alterations are typically necessary to ensure your gown fits flawlessly. When you purchase your dress, your measurements are taken, and your standard size is determined by the designer. However, alterations are essential to customize the dress to your unique shape and height. This might involve taking in the dress to achieve a perfect fit around your hips, bust, waist, or other areas, adding bra cups for extra support, adjusting straps, hemming to the appropriate length once you’ve chosen your footwear, and creating a bustle for your train.

Rest assured, we have a team of highly skilled seamstresses with decades of experience in working with wedding gowns. We’re more than happy to provide referrals to these experts, but the ultimate choice of who will alter your gown is up to you. As a general guideline, it’s recommended to budget approximately one-third of the dress’s cost for alterations when working with most seamstresses on our preferred list, unless you require major modifications. Your satisfaction and comfort in your gown are our top priorities, and alterations play a crucial role in achieving that.

WHAT SIZE GOWNS ARE THE SAMPLE DRESSES? WHAT IF THEY DON'T FIT ME?

When you embark on your bridal gown shopping journey, you’ll quickly discover that industry standards dictate that boutiques carry one sample of each style. At our boutique, we take immense care in selecting our gowns, resulting in one of the most extensive size assortments among boutiques in Wisconsin. Our collection spans sizes 4-30W, providing a wide range of options to cater to various body types.

It’s important to note that bridal gown sizing differs from traditional department store sizing and can vary by designer. On average, a bridal gown labeled as size 12 is similar to a department store size 8 (with most bridal gowns running about 2 sizes small). If the gown you’re trying on is too large, we utilize bridal clips to adjust the dress for a snugger fit, allowing you to better visualize the silhouette. Conversely, if the gown seems too small, we insert a privacy panel and/or clip the gown to your undergarments to provide an accurate representation of the silhouette.

While the sample gowns may not offer a perfect fit, rest assured that we have various techniques to ensure you gain a fantastic understanding of how the gown will look in your size and after alterations tailored to your shape and height. Your satisfaction and confidence in your choice are our utmost priorities.

who should I bring with me?

It’s essential to have the key individuals with you who play a pivotal role in making this momentous decision. For some brides, this might entail shopping solo to truly connect with the gown, while others may wish to include a couple of cherished loved ones.

If there’s someone you can’t imagine missing this significant moment and they can’t be physically present, fret not! We’re more than happy to facilitate a FaceTime session to ensure they can share in the excitement and joy when you find your perfect dress. Your bridal journey is a cherished memory, and we’re here to make it as inclusive and unforgettable as possible.
