Bon Bon Belle began its journey as Christy’s Bridal in 2005. In 2013, Wendy Lynch with a background in service architecture, retail management and buying, and experience as a personal shopper for celebrities and C-suite talent — acquired the business and began reimagining what a bridal experience could feel like.

Andrew (Wendy’s Business Partner + Husband) describes it best through a story about Wendy: “There’s this music video by Blind Melon called ‘No Rain’ and it has this adorable little girl in a bee costume. This video is all about this little girl walking around in this town wearing this bee costume and doing this funny little dance for people that she encounters. Nobody really gets her as she’s doing this little dance; they kind of look at her funny and she moves on and keeps dancing for various different people, but finally she finds this area, this field where she sees a bunch of other people in their bee costumes doing the same dance that she was doing. This little girl finally belongs, and for Wendy, the costume and the dance were really about her level of care for her customers and her team. She just has this really pure and strong desire to put people first and make other people happy, so she wanted to create this place where other people who wanted to wear that same costume and do that same dance really felt like they belonged. So that’s what we mean when we say that someone has found their bees. They found people who get them.”

That belief, creating a place where people feel understood, cared for, and like they truly belong continues to guide everything we do.

Since 2013, Bon Bon Belle has expanded beyond Wendy’s wildest dreams. The Burlington, Wisconsin flagship moved to a larger storefront in 2017, followed by the opening of a second location in Madison in 2024 and a third location in Milwaukee in 2025.
