You’ve found the dress, finalized your timeline, and the countdown is officially on. Now comes one of the most exciting days of your life, and while it’s impossible to plan for every moment, being prepared can make your wedding day feel smoother!

The truth is, something probably won’t go exactly as planned. And that’s okay! The best wedding days aren’t perfect. Instead, they’re filled with joy, love, laughter, and memories you’ll cherish forever!

To help you feel confident from the moment you wake up until your last dance, we’ve put together the ultimate bridal survival guide.

Pack an Emergency Kit

Think of this as your wedding day insurance policy.

Whether you keep it yourself or hand it off to your maid of honor, having a few essentials nearby can save the day.

Include items like:

  • Fashion tape
  • Safety pins
  • Mini sewing kit
  • Stain remover pen
  • Blotting papers
  • Bobby pins
  • Hair ties
  • Clear nail polish (great for stopping a snag in tights!)
  • Bandages
  • Pain reliever
  • Breath mints
  • Lipstick or lip gloss for touch-ups
  • Tissues
  • Deodorant
  • Phone charger
  • Extra earring backs

You may never need most of these, but you’ll be glad they’re there if you do!

Eat Breakfast (Seriously!)

It’s easy to get caught up in the excitement, but don’t skip your meals.

A day full of hugs, photos, dancing, and celebrating requires energy. Choose a breakfast with protein, healthy carbs, and plenty of water to keep you feeling your best.

Even if you’re nervous, try to eat something. Your future self will thank you.

Stay Hydrated

Speaking of water…

Start drinking water the day before your wedding, not just the morning of!

Hydration helps with:

  • Energy levels
  • Glowing skin
  • Reducing headaches
  • Keeping you comfortable throughout the day

Just be mindful of your timeline so you can plan bathroom breaks before slipping into your gown.

Steam Your Dress Before Getting Ready

Wrinkles happen during transportation. Have your dress professionally steamed before the wedding or ask someone you trust to gently steam it while you’re getting ready.

Always follow your boutique’s care instructions, and never put direct heat on delicate fabrics without knowing they’re safe.

Your Bon Bon Belle stylist is always happy to answer care questions before the big day!

Put Your Dress on Last

Hair? Done. Makeup? Done. Then it’s time for the dress!

Waiting until you’re fully ready helps prevent makeup transfer, keeps your gown clean, and makes getting dressed feel like the special moment it deserves to be.

Assign Someone to Be the Point Person

On your wedding day, your only job should be getting married.

Choose someone you trust, such as a maid of honor, planner, sibling, or close friend, to handle questions from vendors, family members, or guests.

If someone needs an answer, let them ask your point person instead of you. It’s one of the easiest ways to protect your peace!

Your Bon Bon Belle Wedding Day Checklist

Before you head out the door, make sure you have:

  • Wedding dress
  • Veil and accessories
  • Shoes
  • Jewelry
  • Rings
  • Marriage license
  • Emergency kit
  • Lip product
  • Perfume
  • Phone charger
  • Snacks and water
  • Reception shoes (if bringing a second pair)
  • A heart that’s ready to soak in every moment

Your wedding day isn’t about having a flawless timeline or picture-perfect details. It’s about marrying the person you love!

The little things will fade. The memories won’t. Take a deep breath, smile often, hug your favorite people, dance until your feet hurt, and don’t forget to look around every once in a while.

After all, you’ve waited for this day, and you deserve to enjoy every beautiful second of it.

From all of us at Bon Bon Belle, congratulations! We can’t wait to be a small part of your love story.
