Emily & Zak | Real B3 Story
Let us in on your love story!
“As many epic love stories start, Zak & I met in a cafeteria during an internship in 2019. Both a little apprehensive to start flirting with a coworker, real sparks didn’t fly until we ‘coincidentally’ ran into each other at Summerfest later that summer. Our connection was clear and easy right away, but our timing and locations weren’t – shortly after a few amazing summer dates, I left for my senior year at Notre Dame and Zak left for his at UW. Zak invited me to visit for a game day in September of 2019. After a weekend of meeting friends and family, bar hopping, and jumping around… It was obvious we liked each other. A lot. We FaceTimed every day after that & visited as often as we could until March of 2020. Well, we all know what happened next. Being in the same city for longer than a week at a time was a blessing in disguise. Once we were both back in Milwaukee, we were inseparable! On November 19, 2022 (a date uniquely situated between our anniversary & my birthday), Zak somehow snuck a surprise past me… He popped the question at my family’s lake home in Palmyra, WI – the location of our first date.”
Tell us about your dress journey!
“My experience at Bon Bon Belle was delightful. I am an enormous Say Yes To The Dress fan & really wanted to try on a Randy Fenoli dress. Bon Bon Belle was the nearest provider. I knew most of his dresses were a little too flashy for my style, but I wanted to try one on just for fun! I am so glad I traveled all the way to Burlington for my consultation. My stylist made me feel so comfortable: she was mindful of my budget, knew the inventory well, and listened to all my feedback! Once I tried on my dress, I just knew it was the one for me! It was the perfect combination of sophisticated, modern, understated beauty, and comfort.”
how was your wedding?
“May 25, 2024 was the best day of Zak and I’s lives! We had so much fun celebrating our love with our loved ones! My favorite parts of the wedding day were the pictures on the golf course, cocktails on the porch with my grandparents, processing down the aisle with my dad, and dancing the night away with all my friends. We would relive 05/25 every single day if we could!”
