Tell us about Amanda Ketterhagen Photography and what makes you unique!
“My name is Amanda Ketterhagen! I built Amanda Ketterhagen Photography after diving into the wedding photography world after teaching first grade for four years! I am a Burlington native, and travel wherever your love takes me. I am a sucker for capturing details, moments, and glimmers of emotion. I describe my work as artistic, emotive, passionate, and joyful while having true tones, and an artistic, nostalgic flare. I’m all about the in the moment, lived-in moments; give me raw, real, and emotive moments and let’s make some art!”
What is your favorite part about being involved in weddings?
“I love each couple’s unique connection. Whether it’s joyful and romantic, or devoted and passionate. I love being able to use my insight into the way in which couples connect and use it as a lens or perspective as I document their day.”
What sets your approach to wedding services apart from other vendors?
“I want your photography experience to feel like you. Your moments are deserving of being captured just as you are. From creating engagement session mood boards, to photography timelines, I guide my couples with my expertise to make sure that their engagement session and wedding photography feels like a true representation of them; not just a one size fits all shot list.”
What is your philosophy on working with couples to ensure a stress-free and enjoyable wedding experience?
“As a former teacher, I’m big on communicating and making sure all of the details are ironed out well before you say I-do! From guides, to questionnaires, to timeline creation, I’m here to gently guide you and your partner, and care for you, through the entire planning process. I want to learn SO much about you, your partner, and your wedding day vision. This allows me to create a wedding photography timeline with breathing room for you and your partner to lean into one another and have room to just be on your wedding day; which is honestly when the best magic happens.”
What are some exciting trends emerging in the wedding dessert industry?
“I love that “ditching the trends” is a trend, honestly. I’m here for authenticity, however, I’ve been loving the reception outfit, slow shutter, private vows during a first look, and film inspired flash vibes trends! I’m also a sucker for literally anything art deco, old world romance inspired. Glam waves? Old money vibes? SIGN ME UP.”
Is there anything else you’d like to share with the brides-to-be reading?
“If you’re a bride or groom-to-be reading that values the way your images feel, aren’t afraid to get a little vulnerable or open, and want your lived-in moments with your partner to feel like joy, nostalgia, and art, I think we’d be a perfect match.”
